AVODAH Launches

Well well, the prodigal son returns.

This is my first post in forever it feels like, but I had to share this, even before I get around to updating my portfolio. Finally I have a new project to show to everyone. This one was a lot of fun, and a few tears, a couple 16 hour days at Panera, 6 gallons of coffee and one fuzzy cat later I present to you the new AVODAH website.

The site is still under construction in some ways, I plan on building it into SilverStripe over the next month or so, and I’m sure some updates are on their way. The site uses all the latest and greatest:

The site does not fully validate just yet as XHTML 1.0 Strict, but I’m working on that. Thanks goes out to Aaron for bringing me the project in the first place. Somehow he managed to juggle moving from Ohio to Israel AND put up with me bugging him about the project throughout the last couple months, keep in touch, and eventually help get the entire project off the ground.

Also thanks to the Wifey for letting me work long hours during a well earned vacation to get the site built in a week.

On a slightly different topic, I am going to make an effort to keep this blog updated. It’s NOT a New Years Resolution though, I’m just gonna make an effort. I got a few more projects coming down the pike, even some that are done and have been live for months that I should chronicle and add to the ol’ port page.

Maybe I’ll even get around to creating a customized template for this here blog, I’m not making any promises though.
